## Ohio Minimum Wage
As of January 1, 2026, the minimum wage in Ohio is $11.00 per hour for employees of businesses with annual gross receipts over $405,000. Workers at smaller businesses are covered by the federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour. Tipped employees must receive a cash wage of at least $5.50 per hour, with tips bringing total pay to at least $11.00 — the employer must make up any shortfall. On January 1, 2027, Ohio’s minimum wage rises to $11.40 per hour ($5.70 tipped), and the gross-receipts threshold rises to $420,000.
