Nebraska Minimum Wage — As of January 1, 2026, the minimum wage in Nebraska is $15.00 per hour, the final step of the increases voters approved under Initiative 433 in 2022. Starting January 1, 2027, the wage rises annually by a fixed 1.75% under LB258 (about $15.26 in 2027), replacing the inflation-based formula voters originally approved. Tipped workers must receive a cash wage of at least $2.13 per hour, with the employer covering any shortfall below the $15.00 minimum. Nebraska has no state overtime law, so federal rules apply: non-exempt employees must earn 1.5 times their regular rate for hours over 40 in a workweek.
